With its high water content, watermelon can be a safe, refreshing, hydrating treat for your dog. Not all parts of a watermelon are safe for dogs though, so you will need to remove the rind and the seeds. Watermelon seeds and watermelon rind won’t be digested properly by your dog so can cause blockages if eaten or swallowed.
